June 27, 2026 - Br. Mike Diehl has been coordinating a "Lettuce Pray" effort for St. John's Council 1622. It's goal is to provide fresh produce to the Little Sisters of the Poor (LSOP), St. Martin's Home, in Catonsville, MD. Note that this is complementary to our monthly 3rd Saturday LSOP collection at St. John's.
Mike has persuaded a number of commercial animal farms to periodically donate processed meats to LSOP. Today, Mike arranged for three separate Frederick County farms to donate approximately 300 pounds of various meats, including ham, pork, chicken, lamb and fowl. These were picked up from each farm and delivered to Sr. Lawrence Mary at LSOP by Br. Dave Satterfield.
