GOALS:

- Raising Home Gardens for Feeding Elderly Poor
- Starting w/ providing produce to the Little Sisters of the Poor in Baltimore
- Expanding Outreach Based on Year 1 Success


Litte Sisters of the Poor maintain the St. Martin’s Home in Catonsville, Maryland. It provides long-term care of the elderly in a home-like, non-institutional setting. They depend on donations of money, food and supplies to continue their efforts, and they accept Fresh Produce.

HOW TO VOLUNTEER

- Use the QR Code below to access our sign up sheet, or go to https://signupgenius.com/go/10C0B44AEAF2DABFCC07-58786253-lettuce , and sign up for 1 or More of the following options: - Teaching / Mentorship.
- Provide Land (Allow use of 10ft x 10ft Plots - Can be less or more).
- Build Fencing (Deer, Rabbits, etc).
- Prepare Garden Beds (Tilling, Compost, etc).
- Plant Seeds or Seedlings.
- Maintain Garden (weed removal, pest control, watering, etc).
- Harvest Produce (pick and pack for transportation).
- Transport to Baltimore, or turn produce in to the monthly Little Sisters collection point in Frederick.

You are strongly encouraged to develop a team at your parish or other community group and seek sponsors for supplies and equipment. The more garden plots we develop, the more produce we will have for the Little Sisters of the Poor, and possibly other worthy recipients.
