St. John the Evangelist 2024 SPRING RAFFLE.
The 2024 Spring Raffle for St. John the Evangelist Church has begun. Tickets are now available at the cashier's table during the KofC Lenten Fish Dinners.
Ticket sales will continue until May 30.
Please arrange with Rick Casazza to sell these raffle tickets to others. It takes a team to get this done.
Tuesday, March 12, 2024, Men's Feast at St. John the Evangelist Church. Dinner at 6 pm in the parish hall. Religious Formation Session at 7 pm. Social hour at 8 pm.

St. John's Council #1622, Frederick, MD, is serving as the HUB LOCATION for councils in Western Maryland every third Saturday for the monthly KofC Maryland State Program to provide material support to the Little Sisters of the Poor's St. Martin's Home in Baltimore, MD.
LOCATION: Front of the St. Margaret Bauer Evangelization Center at St. John the Evangelist Church, 114 E. 2nd Street, Frederick, MD.

April 28, 2024, ANNIVERSARY of the formation of our Council in 1912.
On April 28, 1912, St. John's Council No. 1622 became a reality. The First Degree was conferred by the Degree Team of Hagerstown Council (now Pangborn Council No. 1365); the Second was conferred by Baltimore Council's Degree Team; the Third by Marquette Council also of Baltimore) under the direction of State Deputy Mueller and District Deputy W. B. Morrison of Hagerstown. For this event, special trains were chartered, bringing Knights of Columbus and their families from Baltimore, MD, York and Harrisburg, PA. The official record shows that about 1200 people journeyed to Frederick to mark the chartering of this new Council.

May 11 & 12, 2024 MOTHER'S DAY MARY GOLD PROGRAM - As we have done for many years, we will be giving live Marigolds to the mothers in our parish after Masses that weekend, in the name of our Holy Mother Mary, and thanking them for choosing life for their children.
